Why monthly is the rate everyone ends up on
Bali is a place people come to for two weeks and leave after four months. Once you pass roughly ten days, the daily rate stops making sense: a scooter at 150,000 IDR a day is 4,500,000 IDR over a month, and the monthly rate for the same bike starts at 2,000,000. The longer you rent, the lower the daily cost — that applies right across the fleet, from a Scoopy to a ZX-10R.
What a month actually costs
- Automatic scooters — 2,000,000 to 8,000,000 IDR per month. Honda ADV, PCX, Yamaha NMAX, XMAX, Aerox, Scoopy, Fazzio.
- Motorcycles — from 3,000,000 IDR per month, with most of the fleet in the middle of the range around 7,500,000. Honda CB 150X sits at the affordable end; 250cc sport and street bikes are the most popular long-stay choice.
- Big bikes — 650cc and above run considerably higher, up to 45,000,000 IDR per month for the flagship sport models.

What you get for a long rental
- Servicing is ours, not yours. Every bike is checked and serviced after each rental period, and during a long rental we handle maintenance — you are not the one hunting for a mechanic when the brakes go soft.
- 24/7 roadside assistance for the whole period: repair on the spot or a replacement bike at no extra cost.

Choosing a bike you will still like in week six
Long rentals reward different choices than a weekend. A few things people tell us afterwards they wish they had known:
- Under-seat storage beats top speed. If the bike is your daily transport, a maxi-scooter like the PCX, NMAX or XMAX that swallows a helmet and a laptop bag will make you happier than something faster.
- Big wheels earn their keep. Bali's side roads are broken in places. The ADV and XMAX handle that far better than a small-wheeled scooter.
- 250cc is the practical ceiling for daily use. Enough for weekend trips to Kintamani or the east coast, still easy in Canggu traffic and cheap to run.
- Be honest about experience. A 650cc or larger bike is superb on the open roads north and east, and exhausting in town if you are not used to it.
Documents for a long rental
The same as any rental: an International Driving Permit with a motorcycle category, your home country licence and your passport. Worth checking the IDP expiry date before a long stay — they are normally valid for a year, and an expired permit voids your insurance. See the licence and IDP page.

Who services the bike during a long rental?
We do, and it is included. On a monthly rental the bike comes in for an oil change and a check at the usual interval; we collect it and leave you a replacement for the day, or bring the workshop to you if the job is small. You never pay for scheduled servicing, and you never lose riding days to it.
Can I swap to a different bike mid-month?
Yes. People book a scooter for the city and find themselves wanting something bigger for the mountain roads, or the other way round. We swap it and adjust the rate from the day of the change — no new contract, no re-delivery fee inside our free zone.
Can I return the bike somewhere other than the office?
Within the free delivery zone — Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud and 20 km around the office — pickup is free and we collect from wherever you finish. Airport drop-off costs the same as airport delivery, around 150,000–200,000 IDR, because of the waiting time. Returning it in another regency is possible and priced by distance.
What happens if I leave earlier than planned?
Tell us and we recalculate at the rate for the period you actually rode. A month cut to eighteen days is billed at the weekly rate for the weeks used, not at the monthly rate you booked — you are not charged for days you did not take.
