PT. Soul Bikes Indonesia — trading as Soul Motorcycles and Iron Rent — has been renting motorcycles in Bali since 2021. We are based in Canggu, run a fleet of 131 machines from 150cc scooters to 1000cc sport bikes, and hold 4.9 out of 5 across 375 Google reviews.
What we actually do
Three things, and they are connected.
Rental. The core of the business. 131 models on the site, from a Honda Scoopy at 150,000 IDR a day to a Kawasaki ZX-10R at three million. Automatic scooters for people who have never ridden, 250cc sport bikes for the ones who have, and 650–1000cc machines for riders who can prove they know what they are doing.
Tours. Seven guided routes, all private — one guide for your group, nobody else joining. They run from a half day around Bali to two-day expeditions to the Ijen volcano in Java, and a track day on the Mandalika MotoGP circuit in Lombok.
Training and track days. Riding instruction in Bali and sessions on the Mandalika International Circuit, for riders who want to get faster somewhere that is not a public road.
How we look after the bikes
Every motorcycle is inspected and serviced after each rental period rather than on a calendar. That is the whole method, and it is deliberately more expensive than the alternative.
The reason is simple: a bike that has done three weeks with one renter has no idea what happened to it. Servicing on a schedule catches problems in month three; servicing after every rental catches them before the next person sits on it. In practice that means brake pads, chains and tyres get replaced early rather than at the point of failure — which on Bali’s wet roads is the difference that matters.
Tyres come from established brands rather than the cheapest available. Damage and loss protection is offered on every rental. Roadside assistance runs 24 hours: we repair the bike where it stands or bring a replacement at no extra cost.
Where we are and how we work
- Base: Canggu, Bali. Free delivery and pickup within 20 km — Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud and the surrounding area. Denpasar airport delivery is around 150,000–200,000 IDR.
- Hours: daily 09:00–20:00.
- Booking: WhatsApp or Telegram. No deposit taken online, no hidden fees; the terms are written into the rental contract before you take the bike.
- Languages: we work in English and Indonesian.
What we require, and why
An International Driving Permit with a motorcycle category, your home licence and your passport. We check that the entitlement covers the class of bike you are booking — a 650cc goes to someone whose licence says they can ride a 650cc.
This costs us bookings, and we do it anyway. Riding without the right licence in Indonesia means a fine at a police check and, far worse, insurance that will not pay out after an accident. We would rather put you on a smaller bike than on an uninsured one.
