A Yamaha XSR 155 that has been rebuilt as a street scrambler: gloss-red tank with the black XSR badge, everything else blacked out — frame, wheels, engine covers, the short front mudguard. The stock seat is gone in favour of a long flat quilted bench with a raised rider pad, the mirrors sit at the bar ends, and a stubby XSR155 muffler replaces the factory silencer for a sharper sound without turning heads at every traffic light.
Under the paint it is the same 155cc liquid-cooled single Yamaha puts in the R15 and MT-15: variable valve timing, a slick six-speed box and around 19 horsepower, which on a bike this light is plenty for two-up around Canggu and a comfortable 90 km/h on the bypass. The upside-down forks and the chunky dual-purpose tyres take broken village roads and the odd gravel track in their stride, and the single front disc has more than enough bite for the weight.
It is a bike for riders who want to be looked at as much as they want to get somewhere: coffee runs on the Berawa strip, sunset at Echo Beach, a day loop to Tanah Lot and back through the rice fields. The flat seat is comfortable for a passenger too, though for a full day two-up with luggage the CB 150X does the job better.
Because the bodywork and the seat are one-offs, we ask you to treat the paint with a little more care than a standard XSR, and the daily rate reflects the build. If you want the same engine without the custom tax, the standard XSR 155 in red or silver is the cheaper way in. Minimum rental three days; two helmets, a phone holder and free delivery within 20 km are included.
